“When I was young, one of my first jobs on the farm was driving the grain truck from the field to the yard so my grandma could unload the truck,” Ground Truth Agriculture Inc’s founder and chief executive officer remembers. “While she was unloading the grain, I’d take a cup on the end of a stick and scoop out a bit of grain into a pail and eventually bag up a sample to send away for grading.”

Ground Truth Ag sat down with Fahlman Acres’ owner and operator, Brady Fahlman, to talk about his experiences testing our company’s on-combine grain grading prototype during this year’s harvest.

“I’m very proud that I’m the fifth generation to farm my family’s original homestead,” Fahlman says. Located outside of Holdfast, Saskatchewan, the farm dates back to 1904 and has grown into a 13,000-acre operation that produces canola, yellow peas, red lentils and Canadian red spring wheat.

Ground Truth Ag is very excited to have been chosen as one of five innovators to compete in this year’s Ag Innovations Competition at the Agri-Trade Equipment Expo in Red Deer from November 8th to 10th, 2023.

“Three things really came together – it’s about agriculture, it involves spectroscopy – which is related to my PhD - and it was in Regina where my spouse was relocating,” Mikhail explains about why he decided to come work at Ground Truth Ag.
