Understanding Your Grading Result
Grading results can be confusing and hard to understand – we know this all too well. That's why we break down each aspect of your grading result, ensuring you understand every detail about your grain sample.
Grading Result
As you look at your grading results, we provide a comprehensive breakdown of all the grading factors in your sample, explaining how they impacted (or didn’t) your final grade.
All grading factors and elements are from the official grading guides.
Individual Grading Factors: Understand how each of the individual grading factors impacted your result. Currently, we identify and measure over 50 different grading factors for CWRS (Canadian Western Spring Wheat). Take a look at each factor to view its full label and see the tolerance for each grading level.
Degree of Soundness: Degree of Soundness includes many grading factors together; you’ll get insight to which grading factor influenced Degree of Soundness and how.
HVK: For CWRS and CWAD crop types, there is a Hard Vitreous Kernels analysis, where a few different grading factors are grouped together and analyzed; we include which factors affected your HVK rating and how.
Wheats of Other Classes: CWRS samples will include an indication of wheats of other classes that may be present so further physical examination can be done.
Non-Visual Assessments: Moisture and Protein are provided on CWRS samples using our NIRS calibrations.
Taking a Closer Look
Visuals: Take a deep dive into each image the unit took. You can select an image, and zoom in and out to closely examine different grading factors. You can check or uncheck the visibility of specific grading factors for a clearer view.
