Our Top 5 Takeaways from Ag in Motion

Ag in Motion (AIM) was a whirlwind of great conversations, innovations, and insights. After spending time connecting with producers and industry experts, our team came home feeling energized and excited about what's ahead for Canadian agriculture. Here are the five biggest things we learned from our time at AIM this year:

1. Farmers Want Immediate, Actionable Data

One of the clearest takeaways from our conversations at AIM was the importance farmers place on immediate insights they can act on. Producers told us they're looking for tools that don't just provide data; they need clear, actionable information at the moment they make critical decisions, from marketing to binning grain.

2. Interest in AI is Higher than Ever—But Simplicity is Key

Farmers and industry professionals were genuinely enthusiastic about the potential of AI. But what stood out was the importance of making the technology straightforward, transparent, and user-friendly. Farmers want reliable, easy-to-understand solutions they can trust from day one.

3. Seeing is Believing with Automated Grain Grading

The excitement around the benchtop MV/NIR was phenomenal. Farmers were eager to see automated grain grading in action, immediately recognizing how the benchtop could simplify grain sampling. The response we heard repeatedly: "This makes so much sense!"

4. Decision-Making Power on the Farm is a Game-Changer

Farmers repeatedly emphasized how empowering it is to have accurate grain grading at their fingertips. With immediate knowledge of grain quality like moisture, protein levels, and other critical factors, producers can make confident, profitable decisions right on the farm, reducing uncertainty and maximizing returns.

5. Community and Connection Drive Innovation

AIM reinforced what we’ve always known: real innovation happens when the industry comes together. The event showcased just how eager producers are to share knowledge, collaborate, and help shape solutions that truly meet their needs.

Excitement Around the benchtop MV/NIRS Unit
The highlight for us was undoubtedly the excitement and feedback around the benchtop MV/NIRS unit. It was inspiring to hear firsthand how farmers envisioned using the system from streamlining harvest decisions to precisely marketing their grain. There’s nothing better than seeing the industry's enthusiasm match our own.

We want to thank everyone who visited us, shared ideas, and explored the benchtop in person. Your feedback and excitement fuel our mission at Ground Truth Ag, reminding us exactly why we do what we do.
