Meet Purvi Patel

At Ground Truth Agriculture, we're proud to have a team that brings diverse backgrounds and unique skills to the forefront of AgTech. Today, we're excited to introduce you to Purvi Patel, a dedicated Grain Data Collector whose journey to Ground Truth Ag started through a friend’s recommendation.

Purvi’s interest in joining the team stemmed from her strong background in Chemistry, Microbiology, and laboratory work which aligned perfectly with our grain grading technology. “The role sounded interesting because it is related to my studies and I was intrigued by the company’s innovative approach to grain grading,” she explains.

As a Grain Data Collector, Purvi is pivotal in analyzing wheat for damages, diseases, protein content, and other critical quality factors. “I find and annotate damages on grains, perform protein and moisture analysis, scan samples on near-infrared spectrometers, and help with data ingestion for new samples,” she details. Her work ensures that our grain grading models remain accurate and up-to-date.

What Purvi enjoys most about Ground Truth Ag is the multicultural environment and cooperative culture. “Our team is fun and interesting, and people are always ready to help. It feels like working with friends rather than just colleagues,” she shares.

In the lab, Purvi thrives on identifying diseases in kernels—a challenge she finds both new and fascinating. “It’s a learning process, but discovering something new everyday makes it incredibly rewarding,” she says.

Outside of work, Purvi enjoys spending quality time with her children, playing board games, solving puzzle cubes, hanging out with friends, and watching movies. She also loves doodling and drawing, often sketching celebrity faces. Travel and nature are her escapes, with recent trips including a visit to the beautiful landscapes of Calgary and Banff.

Purvi's goal at Ground Truth Ag is to excel in grain grading. “I'm learning every day and aim to become an excellent grader,” she states confidently.
