Meet Duy Do

One of the most exciting things about being a startup is building our team—drawing together our inner circle to help us realize our vision and grow our company and culture. Over the next while, we will be introducing you to more of our team at Ground Truth Agriculture, continuing with our talented Mechanical Engineer, Duy Do.

Duy’s journey with Ground Truth Agriculture began with an internship as a Data Collector. “I came across Ground Truth Agriculture as an intern and started as a Grain Data Collector,” Duy explains. “After completing the program, I was fortunate to transition into the role of a Mechanical Engineer. I’m grateful that Kyle gave me this opportunity to grow within the company.”

With over 20 years of experience in automatic transmission design, Duy brings a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise to his role. “Agriculture is a completely new field for me,” he shares. “I’ve had to learn a lot to adapt to this position. Every day is different, full of opportunities to grow and challenges to overcome.”

Duy emphasizes the collaborative culture at Ground Truth Agriculture as one of the highlights of his work. “The environment here is incredibly supportive. Everyone shares information openly, and that’s helped me learn so much.”

Duy’s enthusiasm for tackling challenges is evident. “Each day, I wake up excited for the opportunities ahead,” he says. “Agriculture is a new field for me, and I’m constantly learning. The work is challenging, but that’s what makes it rewarding.”

When Duy isn’t engineering innovative solutions, he enjoys spending quality time with his family. “I have two sons—one is 18 and the other is 16,” he says with pride. “We love going on trips together and exploring the outdoors, especially in Western Canada. We also enjoy cooking and trying new recipes. On weekends, I like to prepare my family’s favourite dishes.”

When asked to share something that might surprise his colleagues, Duy smiles and says, “I’m naturally a quiet person. At first, I can be a bit reserved, but once I get to know people, I open up. I love connecting with others and sharing ideas.”

Duy’s journey from an experienced transmission designer to an integral part of the team at Ground Truth Agriculture reflects his dedication, adaptability, and passion for continuous learning!

Stay tuned as we introduce more members of the Ground Truth Agriculture team!
